In compliance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), we have implemented this Privacy Policy to inform you about our practices and procedures concerning the collection, use, and disclosure of the information we collect.

Website Visitors

Like most website operators, Hilary Martin Projects collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. 

Website Analytics

We use Google Analytics and Jetpack Stats to collect anonymized information about visitor traffic for the purposes of gathering data about who uses our site and how. That information too, we keep private.

Hilary Martin Projects discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those of its contractors and affiliated organizations that need to know that information in order to process it on our behalf or to provide services available through our company. Although we endeavour to only link to sites with high privacy standards, our privacy policy will no longer apply once you leave our website. Additionally, we are not responsible for the privacy practices employed by third party websites. Therefore, we suggest that you examine the privacy statements of those sites to learn how your information may be collected, used, shared and disclosed.

Apps Used in Client Work and Contract Delivery

Hilary Martin Projects uses the following third-party apps during the course of client work and in contract delivery. Each manages their own privacy policy in accordance with applicable laws.

Calendly App collects: Name, email, phone number if shared for purpose of a call, reason for our meeting. Calendly’s privacy policy is here: https://calendly.com/legal/privacy-notice

Stripe App collects: Name, credit card information, type of purchase, amount and tax, data of purchase. Stripe’s privacy policy is here: https://stripe.com/en-ca/privacy 

Airtable App collects: Data through forms, data analysis, data reporting. Hilary Martin Projects returns all documents and deletes from Airtable on completion of the project. Airtable’s privacy policy is here: https://www.airtable.com/company/privacy 

Otter.AI App collects: Recording of session if explicitly consented, summary, action items, transcript. This information is sent as an email and deleted from our Otter account within 48 hours. Otter’s privacy policy is here: https://otter.ai/privacy-policy

Signal App. Signal is our preferred app for call and text contact with clients. Signal is designed to never collect or store any sensitive information. Signal messages and calls cannot be accessed by us or other third parties because they are always end-to-end encrypted, private, and secure. Google Workspace App collects: Documents for client’s personal/professional use and documents for company use. Hilary Martin Projects returns all documents and deletes from google drive on completion of the project. Google’s privacy policy is here: https://policies.google.com/privacy 

How Google Drive Encryption Works

  • In transit: When you upload or download files, data is protected using Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption.
  • At rest: Files stored on Google’s servers are encrypted using 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES-256).
  • Keys: Google holds the master encryption keys. This means Google can technically access your unencrypted data or hand it over if required by a legal subpoena or court order.

Privacy Policy Changes

Although most changes are likely to be minor, Hilary Martin Projects may change its Privacy Policy from time to time, and at Hilary Martin Projects’s sole discretion. We encourage visitors to frequently check this page for any changes to our Privacy Policy.
